A large snowstorm is affecting Minneapolis and areas in northwestern Ontario. Areas such as International Falls, MN, and Thunder Bay, ON are getting walloped with heavy snow, ice pellets and at times freezing rain, especially close to Lake Superior. Total accumulations of 12-15 inches of snow (30-40 cm) can be expected by the end of this event. In other news, warm weather is creeping it's way into the Great Lakes and Northeast for the first time this year. It's a nice change from the snowy and cold winter that many areas experienced. The temperatures should range form 40-65°F (5-23°C). |

NEWS: We've finally added our own community photo album for all registered members of the discussion forum to post their photos in. Fall is here and winter is on its way. The weather discussions are slow at this point in time, but expect them to pick up as snow begins to fall. |
